Matrix Group Collaborates With the Conquer Cancer Foundation To Redesign Its Website
March 11, 2011
Matrix Group International, a leading interactive agency in the Washington D.C. metro area, recently redesigned a website for the Conquer Cancer Foundation (CCF) of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world free from the fear of cancer by funding breakthrough research, sharing knowledge with physicians and patients worldwide, and supporting initiatives to ensure that all people have access to high-quality cancer care.
Formerly known as The ASCO Cancer Foundation, the Conquer Cancer Foundation relaunched in February 2011 and enlisted the help of the Matrix Group to redesign its external website, www.ConquerCancerFoundation.org.
With an understanding of the Foundation’s overall goals, the Matrix Group team created a website that includes:
- Warm colors and images geared toward the public and that demonstrate empowerment. Less text and increased imagery were used to communicate the Foundation’s core messages.
- A user-friendly navigation that is simple, straightforward and based on the site’s three main areas: who the organization is; what they do; and how to get involved.
- Brand consistency between the Foundation’s website and its affiliate organization, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO.org).
“Cancer impacts the lives of millions of patients and their families each year and that’s where the Conquer Cancer Foundation’s groundbreaking work makes a difference – wherever physicians and researchers exchange ideas, and whenever patients and families need answers,” said Martin J. Murphy, Jr., PhD, DMedSc, Chair of the Conquer Cancer Foundation’s Board of Directors. “We are pleased with our website by Matrix Group, for it is a vital communications tool that expands the reach, the impact and the hope of our Foundation worldwide.”
