Progress, the makers of Sitefinity, have stopped support of the Web Forms framework, in favor of MCV framework. Both frameworks power widgets in Sitefinity that let you, for example, show related content on a page or share reusable content blocks.

What does this mean for you and your website?

Sitefinity will no longer invest in feature development or bug fixes for Web Forms, and recommend migrating to MVC frameworks to maintain a fully supported site. We also strongly recommend that you migrate Web Forms on your website to MVC widgets.
