Matrix Group, a leading digital marketing and consulting agency in the Washington DC area specializing in web design, development, AMS, integration, branding, mobile and e-marketing services, recently launched a new magazine website, Actuarial Review, for the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS).

With a dedication to the professional education and credentialing of actuaries, the CAS saw an urgent need to update the online implementation of their magazine, one of their most trusted member resources, which was outdated, difficult to use, and a challenge for staff to update.

Seeking a complete overhaul from the ground up, CAS turned to their long-time partner, Matrix Group, to help them develop a dynamic, engaging, and easy-to-use website for the Actuarial Review Magazine. To achieve this goal, Matrix Group crafted a solution that showcases the breadth and depth of the magazines content, making issues and articles easier to navigate than ever before.

The new Actuarial Magazine website:

  • Features a bright, clean design inspired by the branding and styling of the well-established print magazine.

  • Leverages the WordPress content management system’s flexibility and ease of use. CAS staff now have no trouble in keeping the content fresh and up-to-date with the latest issues and articles.

  • Utilizes the CAS’ extensive taxonomy, making the site easy to navigate. Users can now quickly and easily find all articles relating to a specific category, and browse between articles in an issue.

  • Is mobile-friendly and easy to navigate on smartphones and tablets, making the reading experience much more intuitive and pleasant for visitors.

“Working in a tight timeline, the team at Matrix Group led us through the process of creating a beautiful website for our magazine” said Jennifer Walton, CAS IT and Online Services Manager. “Publishing new magazine content is so much easier to do now!”
