Matrix Group Collaborates with the American Counseling Association on a Kindle Version of 2014 Code of Ethics

June 27, 2014
ACAMatrix Group, a digital agency specializing in web design, development, E-marketing and association management systems (AMS), is pleased to announce that a Kindle version of the American Counseling Association (ACA) 2014 Code of Ethics is now available in the Amazon Kindle Store.

ACA, the world's largest association representing professional counselors in various practice settings, serves and supports more than 55,000 members by providing education, community, connections and other valuable resources.

The ACA Code of Ethics serves as a reliable, credible reference tool for counselors on a daily basis. When it came to releasing the 2014 version, in addition to the paperback version, ACA leadership wanted to provide a Kindle version for counselors who prefer to view the Ethics on their e-readers.

Matrix Group created the Kindle version of the publication. We:

  • Converted the content from the PDF of the 2014 Code of Ethics to a format compatible with Kindle e-readers, using Amazon guidelines
  • Developed an interactive table of contents to facilitate navigation of the Code of Ethics
  • Created interactive pop-up definitions for specific terms, making it easy for readers to gain full understanding of the text without having to jump away from the section they are reading.

"The Kindle version of the 2014 ACA Code of Ethics is a must-have for practicing counselors and counselors-in-training; the versatility of Kindle allows anyone with a smartphone, tablet, or e-reader to have access to this important document! The built-in search function provides quick access to related topics, and glossary definitions are accessible in text via embedded hyperlinks. In the midst of difficult situations, practitioners now have an easily accessible reference to guide them," said Erin T. Martz, Director, Ethics and Professional Standards. "Matrix has helped ACA meet the needs of its members and advance the profession."
