FoodAllergy.org Wins "Best in Class" Award from the Interactive Media Awards

February 26, 2014

Matrix Group, a digital agency in the Washington DC area, is thrilled to announce that FoodAllergy.org, the Food Allergy Research & Education, Inc. (FARE) website, has received a “Best in Class Award” in the nonprofit category from the Interactive Media Awards.

The "Best in Class" award is the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. Websites are judged on design, content, feature functionality and usability, as well as on standards compliance and cross-browser compatibility. The website received a score of 485 out of 500.

The FARE website was created in 2012 after The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) and the Food Allergy Initiative (FAI) merged to create FARE. Today, the website supports FARE’s mission, which is to ensure the safety and inclusion of individuals with food allergies while relentlessly seeking a cure with tools and resources on food allergies, research and more.

Created by the Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC), a nonprofit organization of leading web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other web-related professionals, the competition is designed to elevate the standards of excellence on the Internet and offer winners a boost in marketing and exposure. IMC serves as the primary sponsor and governing body of the Interactive Media Awards™, establishes the judging system and provides the judges for the competition.
