Matrix Group Launches Redesigned Website for CFP Board

May 13, 2013

Matrix Group, a leading web design and development agency in the Washington DC area, announces the launch of a redesigned website for the CFP Board.

As THE premier certification organization for financial planners, CFP Board needed to redesign its website to:

  • Educate financial planners on the importance of CFP® certification and encourage them to become certified
  • Keep current CFP® professionals informed about the requirements for maintaining their certifications
  • Position CFP® certification as the financial planning industry standard to a broader audience

CFP.net Now:

The newly redesigned website is truly a reflection of the organization’s distinguished brand as well as a functional resource for CFP® professionals. The site:

  • Features an improved “Find a CFP® Professional” tool. This tool makes it easy for individuals to search for CFP® professionals in their area. Prospective clients can customize their search based on specialty, investable assets and type of compensation method.
  • Is mobile friendly! The website was designed and implemented to be responsive, making the site user-friendly on all mobile devices.
  • Is built in the Sitefinity content management system and integrated with netFORUM, CFP Board’s certification database. The integration of both systems now allows CFP® professionals and those in the process of obtaining their certification to log in to manage their information and complete initial or renewal certification requirements.

Matrix Group also redesigned LetsMakeAPlan.org, CFP Board’s consumer website, which focuses on educating consumers on the importance of financial planning and the benefits of working with a CFP® professional. This is a great resource for those looking for information on financial planning or finding a CFP® professional.

“These first steps in redesigning CFP Board’s websites are important to our work to benefit the public by granting the CFP® certification and upholding it as the recognized standard of excellence for personal financial planning,” said Marilyn Mohrman-Gillis, CFP Board’s Managing Director of Public Policy & Communication.  “Feedback from CFP® professionals and our stakeholders played an important role in guiding the redesign project, and we will continue our work to improve CFP Board’s web presence to better serve the public, our stakeholders and the organization’s important mission.”
