Matrix Group, a web design and development agency in the Washington D.C. area, hopes to bring a little bit of holiday cheer to some local organizations in need this season through its annual social media holiday campaign.
Starting with a fund of $1000, Matrix Group will donate $10 for every new Facebook fan and YouTube subscriber. Fans, friends, clients and other supporters will then vote for their favorite charity by liking their videos on YouTube.

The organization that receives the most likes on their YouTube video will win the $1,000 grand prize with the other charities splitting the remainder of the fund.
“We love doing this holiday campaign every year,” says Joanna M. Pineda, Matrix Group CEO, “It is a wonderful way to help organizations that our employees support through volunteering and fundraising.”
In 2010, Matrix Group raised more than $2,000 for local charities through a creative Facebook campaign.
