Donate Goodwill and Grocery Manufacturers Association Websites Each Take Home a Davey Award

November 04, 2011

Matrix Group is pleased to announce that the Donate Goodwill and Grocery Manufacturers Association websites have been honored by the Davey Awards.

Sponsored by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, the awards are an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms.

Matrix Group and Goodwill International Industries® were honored with the “Gold” award for the Donate Goodwill website. The site demonstrates how by donating everyday items, they are transformed into funds that support the organization’s mission of providing with job training and placement for people with disabilities, those who lack education or job experience or others facing challenges to finding employment.

Matrix Group, the Grocery Manufacturer Association and Rational 360, a communications and design firm in the D.C. metro area, were honored with the Davey’s “Silver” award for the association’s redesigned website. The site serves the world’s leading food, beverage and consumer products companies. Rational 360 created the website’s information architecture and design while Matrix Group managed the website’s backend, implementing a new content management system and integrating the website with the association’s membership database.

Over the last year, Matrix Group has received eight awards, including a Hermes Platinum award for its 2010 animated holiday card, as well as a “Best in Class” award for its redesign of the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy from the Interactive Media Awards.

About The Davey Awards

The Davey Awards exclusively honor the “Davids” of creativity, the finest small firms, agencies and companies in the world. David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock - the sort of thing small firms do each year. The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the "Creative Davids" who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than big budgets. The Davey Awards is the leading awards competition specifically for smaller firms, where firms compete with their peers to win the recognition they deserve.
