September 16, 2011

The Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) won a “Best in Class" Interactive Media Award for its redesign website under the health category.

The "Best in Class" award is the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. Websites are judged on design, content, feature functionality, usability as well as on standards compliance and cross browser compatibility. The FACT website received a score of 483 out of 500.

FACT establishes standards for high quality medical and laboratory practice in cellular therapies. It is a nonprofit corporation co-founded by the International Society for Cellular Therapy (ISCT) and the American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT) for the purposes of voluntary inspection and accreditation in the field of cellular therapy.

Matrix Group collaborated with FACT on a website redesign and integration of MatrixMaxx to help streamline the organization’s day to day activities. The site now features:

  •  A user-friendly navigation and design based on user profiles of the site’s current visitors and potential visitors.
  • An overhaul to the site's landing pages to ensure that content is relevant to the target audiences.
  • A single sign on authentication process for staff of accrediting companies as they navigate the website, update their company and individual profiles, register for meetings, purchase products, access customer-only case studies, etc.

The site serves companies worldwide. Also in development is an accreditation portal that will put FACT's entire accreditation process online, including paper review, onsite review, standards management and online directory.

"FACT is excited to have won the “Best in Class’ Interactive Media Award for its website redesign. The  project was a successful collaboration among various stakeholders located across the globe. FACT would like to thank the Matrix teams led by Eric Fair and Tanya Kennedy Luminati who worked with us on the design and association management software integration, as well as Fusion Productions for its help with the implementation of designs in the content management system," says Ramona T. Repaczki-Jones, Manager, Information Technology.
