Matrix Group Wins Another National Award for Washington Animal Rescue League Redesigned Website

Matrix Group International, a leading interactive agency in the Washington D.C. metro area, has won a Summit Award for the Washington Animal Rescue League’s redesigned website in the “Nonprofit” Category. 

One of the premier arbiters of creative and communication excellence, the Summit International Awards dedicates itself to furthering excellence in the communications industry. Matrix Group received the organization’s prestigious Platinum Award for its:

  • User-focused design including a new and improved navigation that speaks directly to the League’s target audiences of donors, volunteers, activists, low-income pet owners, adopters, and job seekers.
  • Integration  of  a searchable database that allows visitors to search for pets by type, personality, age and size.
  • Implementation of a content management system to help League staff keep information fresh and up to date.
  • Development of a social networking strategy that utilizes Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr and an upcoming blog.  The various social media pages help the League connect with a wider audience to educate and advocate.

This past summer, Matrix Group also received a Communitas Award for the website, a competition that honors companies, organizations and individuals that go beyond rhetoric and whose commitment sets them apart from their competition.
