June 14, 2010

Matrix Group’s Chief Technology Officer, Maki Kato, has been elected President of the Mount Vernon Amateur Radio Club, an organization comprised of nearly 150 hams from the D.C. metro area.

Kato is a certified ham radio technician. As a licensed technician, Kato volunteers with hundreds of other hams, providing support during emergencies, disasters and many major public events in the D.C. metro area.
He has also inspired other hams at Matrix Group, including CEO Joanna Pineda and Jessica Parsley, Matrix Group’s Master of Details, to get their own ham radio certifications.

Congratulations Maki!
