Direct Selling Association Wins the 2009 Interactive Media Awards for Outstanding Achievement for the Direct Selling 411 Web site

March 22, 2010

Matrix Group International, that the Direct Selling 411 Web site created for the Direct Selling Association (DSA) has been awarded “Outstanding Achievement in the Association Category” by the Interactive Media Awards.  The creation of the Direct Selling 411 site was a collaborative effort between Matrix Group, DSA and Moire Designs - dedicated to providing consumers and consultants with accurate information about direct selling.

The judging was based on various criteria, including design, usability, innovation in technical features, standards compliance and content. In order to win this award level, the Direct Selling 411 Web site was judged on strict guidelines in each area — an achievement only a small number of entrants in the IMA competition earn each quarter.

The goal of Direct Selling 411 is to provide its audience of 15 million direct sellers, consumers and the general public with open and honest facts and information about direct selling, provide a forum for open discussion, dispel myths and misconceptions on the industry, as well as provide tips on spotting fraudulent schemes. To help the Direct Selling Association (DSA) provide Direct Selling 411 visitors with thoughtful, factual and engaging content the Web site includes a combination of text, video and features a blog by the VP of Communications at DSA (Amy Robinson) where she talks about industry trends, answers comments and questions, and shares stories about companies and consultants.

“The Direct Selling 411 Web site has met our goal of providing an effective, easy to use platform to educate the public, current and prospective direct sellers and other interested parties about direct selling.” said Amy Robinson, DSA's Vice President of Communications and Media Relations. “Site visitors can get straightforward information that will help them make sense of the many things they have probably seen and heard elsewhere about direct selling.”
