Cost: FREE for Matrix Group clients; $149 for non-clients
The deadline for complying with GDPR (the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation) is fast approaching - May 25, 2018. Here at Matrix Group, we've been working on compliance with GDPR for a while now and while we're not experts or lawyers, we decided it was time to provide clients with specific, actionable recommendations for complying with GDPR.
On Tuesday, May 22, 10am-12pm Eastern, we'll be hosting a webinar to answer the many questions we've been getting from clients. This webinar is FREE to Matrix Group clients
but we're charging a nominal fee ($149) to non-clients.
Matrix Group CEO Joanna Pineda will be joined by Tanya Kennedy-Luminati, Product Manager of our AMS, MatrixMaxx, and Dave Hoernig, Director of Software Engineering and Sitefinity Product Manager. They'll talk about the 7 things you can do NOW to comply with GDPR, including:
Taking inventory of your systems that collect personal information
Adding a cookie notification to your website
Looking at your Google Analytics data retention policies
Knowing how to produce data on individuals from your various systems
Knowing how to remove individual data from your various systems. We'll be talking specifically about Sitefinity, WordPress, SharpSpring and MatrixMaxx. Even if you don't use these systems, it will be helpful to know the principles behind data removal
Creating a communications plan so your members and other audiences know about these changes so they don't get freaked out when they visit your site and suddenly get scary pop-ups
is freaking you out, take a deep breath. All of the consultants we've spoken with tell us that making a genuine effort at compliance will go a long way, especially if your primary jurisdiction is NOT the EU!
