Last redesigned nearly a decade ago, the site no longer reflected the breadth and depth of the association’s resources, services and community. ACUA saw an opportunity, not just to improve the website, but to reimagine the entire digital experience for its members.

The Challenge
The existing website had several roadblocks that made it harder for members to fully engage. Navigation was clunky, search results weren’t always relevant, and much of the content was locked inside PDFs, making it difficult to find or reference information quickly. One of ACUA’s most valuable resources—the Risk Dictionary—was buried in an outdated SQL database, limiting its usability. At the same time, seamless platform integration was missing, meaning members had to juggle multiple logins just to register for events, access community discussions, or update their profile.
On the back end, staff needed more control. The content management system was cumbersome, slowing down updates and making it difficult to highlight new initiatives. ACUA needed more than a redesign—it needed a digital transformation that would make the website a true hub for its members.
The Solution
Matrix Group worked closely with ACUA to redesign and rebuild the website from the ground up, delivering a site that is modern, intuitive, and fully integrated. The transformation included:
- A completely restructured navigation and search system, ensuring members can find resources faster and more easily.

- Transition to the WordPress CMS, giving staff an easy way to manage content, update resources, and keep information current without technical headaches.
