National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a) Launched New Web Site
August 7, 2008
The National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a) is the leading voice on aging issues for Area Agencies on Aging and a champion for Title VI Native American aging programs. N4a, partnered with Matrix Group, developed an interactive Web site at www.n4a.org designed to address the varied needs of its different audiences, consistently advocate on behalf of its members and aging programs, and advance federal policies that effectively address the needs of an aging America.
N4a turned to Matrix Group to develop a strategy and a solution to significantly enhance its online presence by addressing different audiences, both members, including Area Agencies, non-profits, and service provider organizations, and non-members, such as caregivers and elder consumers.
Using our proven user-focused approach, we created a strategy and delivered a solution that included analysis of member surveys and live user testing, creative design to promote n4a’s brand and user experience, and our Content Management System (CMS) to give n4a’s users dynamic and fresh content on a regular basis. The inherent flexibility of our CMS to add new categories of content, alongside integration with legacy applications allowed n4a to phase-in development and allow for expansion in the future.
The resulting n4a Web site has been declared a resounding success. It achieved n4a’s goals:
- Showcases the breadth and variety of n4a’s many programs and allows n4a to broadcast fresh news and information as often as necessary
- Easy-to-find content according to program area and category
- Calls on n4a’s members to action by participating in research, workshops, training, and ongoing collaboration
- Promotes member benefits
- Allows a small and largely non-technical staff to update the site on a regular basis.
“Thanks so much for all of your hard work and PATIENCE…The website looks great – who knew everything we do!”
~ Helen M. Eltzeroth, Deputy Director, Programs and Communications, n4a
