Matrix Group Launches Member Portal for the Pennsylvania’s Public School Employees’ Retirement System’s Health Options Program (HOP)
November 13, 2009
Matrix Group, International, one of the top interactive agencies in the Washington D.C. metro area, recently launched a member portal for the Pennsylvania’s Public School Employees’ Retirement System’s (PSERS) Health Options Program (HOP).
HOP is a medical health insurance plan for retired employees of the Pennsylvania School system and their dependents. Once a year, HOP sends each member, as well as retiring members, a printed, personalized statement that describes their plan options, and the details of the various options.
For the first time, PSERS wanted to allow plan members to login to a member portal and review their statements online. Working closely with PSERS and a third party administrator, Matrix Group:
- Created a member portal that allows members to create a profile, login, and retrieve a lost password.
- Created a secure database and portal that ties together information from multiple sources to produce the personalized statements.
- Designed and programmed user-friendly personalized statements that have been optimized for viewing on screen and printing.
- Established single sign on authentication for members to view their medical plans and claims under one interface without separate passwords
