What's New with HTML5 and CSS3

Join DC Web Women and Matrix Group for the first workshop of the DCWW Code(Her) series!
In this 2 hour hands-on training and networking session, Matrix Group's User Experience Lead Joeleen Kennedy and Front End Developer Roger Vandawalker will introduce you to HTML5 and CSS3. They will:
- Explain the differences between HTML5 and HTML4
- Show you how CSS3 goes beyond the capabilities of CSS2
- Lead you through a hands-on tutorial on how to integrate these technologies into your current and future websites
- Discuss things you need to keep in mind when using HTML5 & CSS3
- Demonstrate fallbacks for older browsers
- Share their favorite resources
No experience is necessary; however attendees should be familiar with web development principles and have a basic understanding of HTML and/or CSS. We recommend you bring your laptop and charging accessories. Light dinner (pizza and soda) will be provided.
