The Situation:
We're looking for an outstanding Senior Web designer with drive and the passion to create stunning, user centered designs across a variety of media - including Web, flash, e-mail and print who can help us push our clients, primarily associations and non-profits, to the next level.
Our ideal candidate must be self-motivated, detail oriented, deadline driven, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and willing to take on new responsibilities at a rapid pace.
What will you be doing?
- Work with the client and production team to translate business requirements and wireframes into design concepts.
- See projects through to completion, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, consistency and efficiency.
- Maintain creative, technical, and brand standards throughout client sites
- Create designs and interactive pieces that help clients explore the nuances and outer limits of their identities and brands.
- Design with an eye toward standards compliance, usability, clean CSS and SEO.
- Work on multiple projects for a variety of clients.
- Be involved in the entire project life cycle.
- Provide consults to the new business team for proposals and budgets.
- Serve as a team leader for the design team.
Job Requirements:
You'll be successful if you:
- Are extremely web savvy.
- Can work with clients to translate their brands into effective communications across multiple channels and platforms
- Consult/work with internal team members to provide professional recommendations for concept, design, production and quality control.
- Stay active in the larger design community and bring new ideas and best practices to Matrix Group.
What kind of experience are we looking for?
Must have:
- Formal training in typography, identity design, interface design or other creative disciplines.
- An online portfolio
- Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Flash, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Working knowledge of information architecture principles.
- Basic understanding of XHTML/CSS/JavaScript capabilities and limitations
- Experience creating Flash designs.
- Knowledge of interactive design and online branding principles.
- Knowledge of user experience, usability and accessibility issues.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects within project budgets & deadlines.
- Interactive agency experience
- Experience with Flash/Action-Scripting
- Must have and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States if hired.
